BCOC is seeking volunteers to help feed families in Bucks County!

Weekly produce distributions through Fresh Connect Bucks County will begin April 21st in Bristol. Volunteers will help setup tables, distribute produce, and assist BCOC staff with the events. Each weekly event requires 10-15 volunteers. Contact Eileen or Amanda if you have questions.

Help others navigate the road to success!
Ever try to get around Bucks County without a vehicle? How you would get to work, the grocery store or day care?

If you had told Mary a year ago that she would be housed, employed, and have her own transportation, Mary would have reminded you that she was sleeping on a cot in a homeless shelter. However, through the Rapid Re-Housing Program, BCOC’s Economic Self-Sufficiency Program, and Wheelz2Work Program, she accomplished just that and more. When Mary first entered the program she was homeless and working eight hours a week at minimum wage. With the help of her Self-Sufficiency Coach, Mary was able to obtain permanent, affordable housing and a full-time job with a self-sustaining wage. She soon after received a donated car that met her transportation needs.

The lack of safe and reliable transportation limits access to jobs and educational opportunities. The Bucks County Opportunity Council, in partnership with Bucks County Community College and the Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund, is currently seeking both good, used automobiles and financial support to help those in need of reliable and safe transportation.

Get the highest possible tax donation because donated vehicles are given to families in need. Your donation will change lives!

We need volunteers like you who want to make a difference and join our wonderful team at the ReStore. We’ve got two store locations to choose from – Chalfont and Langhorne.

Not only will you be supporting the mission of Habitat Bucks County (without needing a hammer!), you’ll become part of the ReStore family. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Those under 16 must be accompanied by their parent, and any volunteers under age 16 must have a parent or guardian sign a paper waiver (at age 16+ may volunteer independently).

Want to learn more? Take a look at the opportunities here, then click on a position you find interesting. You will be able to sign up for a volunteer shift on our website once you complete your online application/waiver
