Working Towards A Brighter Future
Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN) is a Bucks County interfaith nonprofit that serves the homeless and those in need by providing year-long access to emergency shelter, food and other life-sustaining services with dignity and compassion.
THOSE IN NEED
AHTN’s Those In Need (TIN) Mission processes daily calls from agencies, organizations and individuals seeking assistance with an array of services such as: emergency shelter, rental and move-in assistance, prescriptions, utility assistance, legal documents, transportation to mental health & doctors appointments, thrift stores, food pantries, drug court, laundromat, etc. The TIN mission is always looking for drivers to help with these calls. If you would like to learn more about this mission and how you can help please click here.
AHTN's weekly Shower Mission is an opportunity for anyone in need to come and take a shower every Wednesday at the Rodeway Inn in Bristol. All guests must sign in, but NO ID is required. Every guest is given a clean towel & toiletries for their shower. AHTN Volunteers and staff from Penndel Mental Health are available on site for additional help with resources & other services.
For more information or to schedule transportation to the shower click here
WHEELS TO MEALS
The Wheels to Meals Mission provides transportation using AHTN's volunteer bus team and vehicles. Homeless guests and others in need are transported to a shared meal provided by one of over 39 local houses of worship in Lower Bucks County. To find out more and how you can help with this critical mission click here.
AHTN provides emergency overnight shelter for adults 18 and over. The temperature criteria and all volunteer positions must be staffed to open the shelter. The Code Blue season runs from December 1st through March 31st. Click here to learn how you can volunteer for Code Blue or if you are in need of shelter during Code Blue season.
