Wheels to Meals

The “Wheels to Meals” Mission provides transportation using AHTN bus(es) for homeless guests and/or others in need to the shared meals provided by over 30 area houses of worship in Lower Bucks County.liftvols

These “shared meals” are a mission of the houses of worship offering the meal.  AHTN transports the guests waiting at various stops in Lower Bucks County.  The calendar of meals was created and is maintained by AHTN.

Please be at the stop one hour before the scheduled meal time and please be patient as more than one trip may be required for the bus to pick up all guests.

WHEELS TO MEALS BUS STOPS WHEN CODE BLUE IS CALLED:

Please note that AHTN provides LIMITED Wheels to Meals transportation with 1 bus to those in need on weekday nights that Code Blue is called. Homeless guests receive dinner at the Code Blue site. Visit www.ahtn.org or call 215-550-3868 x100 after 1:00pm each day (Dec 1 – March 31) to find out if the Code Blue Shelter is open.

When Code Blue is called, guests who are only attending the free shared meal will be picked up:

Bus will only make one trip – 13 guests maximum per bus!

Only guests not going to Code Blue should ride the AHTN bus to the weekday meal because of limited seats. A meal is provided at the Code Blue shelter. We do not bring back meals on weekdays when Code Blue is called.
