A Partnership That Makes An impact!

impact! Thrift Announces Partnership with Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need

Impact Thrift Stores announced an on-going partnership with Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN), a Bucks County interfaith nonprofit that serves the homeless and those in need by providing year-long access to emergency shelter, food, and other life-sustaining services. Impact Thrift will provide AHTN with regular financial donations and will offer assistance to AHTN’s neediest clients so that they are able to obtain essential clothing items during times of crisis.

AHTN was chosen by Impact Thrift due to their commitment, compassion and dedication to improving the lives of people in need, by providing code blue shelters, meals, and a wide variety of critical support, to include: clothing, rent assistance, transportation services, and assistance with utility bills.

According to Karen Mineo, AHTN’s Managing consultant, “Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need is looking forward to the partnership with Impact Thrift Stores.  We are both non-profit organizations whose missions positively impact the Bristol community and beyond.  In addition to financially supporting our mission, Impact provides items to our client’s at a considerable savings or at no cost. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with Impact Thrift as we both work towards our organizations’ common and unique goals.”

In celebration of this partnership, Impact Thrift‘s Bristol store location (201 Commerce Circle) is hosting a “Fashion With Compassion” sales event; whereby 10% of the net proceeds will be donated to AHTN. This event will take place on Sat., April 2nd from 10am – 5pm, offering 20%-50% off storewide discounts, an hourly drawing to win a $25 Impact Thrift gift card and a grand prize of a 2.5 minute, $250 shopping spree. AHTN’s Founder, Penny Martin, and staff will take part in the festivities to spread awareness of their mission. There will also be free refreshments while supplies last.

Impact Thrift’s Bristol store manager, Debra Wackes expressed, “I am thrilled to partner with AHTN to make an immediate and positive impact on people’s lives right here in our very own community. We are proud to give back in such a big way, to further our service to families in need.”

AHTN is now one of 15 locally-based non-profits in the Greater Philadelphia Area that Impact Thrift provides financial support to and works cooperatively with. Each time Impact Thrift opens a new store there are opportunities to financially support additional charities, such as AHTN. Like its other four stores (Hatboro, Montgomeryville, Norristown, Feasterville) the Bristol Fashion Outlet store location graciously accepts donations of clothing and shoe items and the net proceeds from the sales provides substantial financial support those 15 local charities that feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and assist families and children in crisis. To date, Impact Thrift has donated over 2 Million dollars to its partner organizations.
